Up to10 students will be selected to participate in this immersive observership week over spring break at the Emory Addiction Center at Wesley Woods, just off of the Emory main campus. Students will spend Monday through Friday learning about addiction psychiatry as a medical specialty. The program includes physicians, nurses, therapists, families, patients, and alumni speaking to students as a group and providing a holistic understanding of the complexities and rewards of this field by sharing their unique perspectives. Students will also have the opportunity to learn directly from Addiction Psychiatrists and receive naloxone training.
