Sewing Masks for Atlanta Hospitals

Healthcare workers are currently asked to re-use their N95 masks for 5 days in some areas. “Sewing Masks for Atlanta Hospitals” has created a network of sewists who create homemade masks at home that get delivered to healthcare facilities in need. The local non-profit has gone from 0 to 5,000 members in 10 days and has been featured on CNN, FOX5 Atlanta, AJC, and NPR.

The role that is currently available is as a Transportation Lead. The group needs help with organizing the pickup and delivery of masks from houses to hospitals in the area.

The position will be incredibly time-consuming, as some have put in 12 hours+ per day but is incredibly worth it. If you want to make a direct impact in this COVID-19 crisis and are into building startups, this would be a great opportunity for you.
