Interested in applying to a physician scientist training
program (MD/PhD or DO/PhD)? Answers to questions regarding what to expect
during the application process or what comes after acceptance may not always be
readily available. To help undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students
considering these programs, APSA has asked four different program directors to
provide their expertise on the application process and program overview,
including discussions of what is a physician scientist and what career
opportunities are open to individuals pursuing this training pathway. Please
join the invited keynote panelists: Dr. Michael ‘Kerry’ O’Banion, MD PhD
(University of Rochester), Dr. Lawrence ‘Skip’ Brass MD PhD (University of
Pennsylvania), Dr. Dianna Milewicz, MD PhD (University of Texas), and Dr.
Christopher Williams, MD PhD (Vanderbilt University). Discussion will be
moderated by the 2019-2020 APSA MD/DO-PhD Member at Large, Gina Calco.
MD-PhD: Is it Right for Me? Interactive Session with Drs. Brass,
