What? 10 Presentations About Cancer To Latinx Community

About: The Winship Cancer Institute Ethics team is aiming to better engage Atlanta’s Latinx community and provide them with greater access to and knowledge of Winship’s services. This will take place through a number of educational workshops presented to Hispanic parents at LaAmistad, an Atlanta organization involving over 350 Latinx students and their families. The presentation takes roughly an hour: time will be dedicated to talk about what cancer is, prevention, treatments, and statistics. The presentation will also include a discussion about the Winship center more generally (its services, who is eligible, and how to access services).
