The Grady Food as Medicine Program is currently recruiting volunteers from Emory University. Grady’s new Food
as Medicine Program aims to target people who are food insecure and provide
them with healthy food options such as fruits and vegetables. They hope to gather
volunteers to help them deliver exceptional service to their participants, as well
as assisting their staff with any additional needs.
The volunteer requirements and link to apply are listed below. They plan to start their program December 2019 or January 2020. However, the
application process could take approximately 4-6 weeks, so it is recommended that interested applicants apply ASAP. If you have any
questions, please reach out to Renee Ogoun, Patient Navigator for the Food as Medicine Program.
Volunteers must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be able to lift at least 20 pounds
- Stand for the duration of your shift
- Commit 3 hours each week for 6 months
