Casa de Esperanza, a
non-profit in Houston, Texas, provides residential care
to children birth through six who are in crisis due to abuse, neglect, or the
effects of HIV. Care is provided by Hands of Hope
interns. Interns from all over
the United States, most of whom are recent college graduates, join Hands of Hope
for a year of service (a twelve-month full-time post-graduation
internship). Applicants wishing to complete shorter internships are
considered on a case by case basis. On-site housing is provided (interns
live with the children they are caring for. More information about the internship

Interns in this program gain
valuable experience that is relevant to a number of fields and future career
goals while simultaneously making a meaningful difference in the lives of a
vulnerable group of children.
