Do you have an interest in global health? Do you want to work with student leaders from other divisions at Emory? Apply to join the Emory Global Health Institute’s Student Advisory Committee!
The Emory Global Health Institute (EGHI) Student Advisory Committee is currently accepting applications. The EGHI is the university’s premier academic center for multidisciplinary study and action in the field of global health. To learn more about the EGHI, visit globalhealth.emory.edu.
The Student Advisory Committee (SAC) is the primary way EGHI’s mission is pursued via the student body. Composed of at least one representative from each school at Emory, the SAC offers wonderful opportunities for interdisciplinary, scholarly work. Students have the opportunity to engage in a variety of events and networking opportunities.
They are looking to recruit representatives from all Emory schools. The major responsibilities of SAC members include:
- Attending monthly general body meetings
- Supporting EGHI initiatives, including the annual Emory Global Health Case Competition, the Global Health Field Scholars program, and the Global Health Impact Project in Nicaragua
- Planning and executing other projects or events that interest you!
Successful applicants are those who best demonstrate what they can offer to global health-related, interdisciplinary student engagement. Applicants should also indicate how such a responsibility would fit into their busy undergraduate or graduate school schedule.

All interested students are invited to attend the first SAC meeting, which will be open to non-SAC members interested in learning more!
