Columbia's Summer Public Health Scholars Program

The 10-week Columbia Summer Public Health Scholars Program (SPHSP) is designed to increase interest in and knowledge of public health and biomedical careers for juniors, seniors, and recent graduates. SPHSP is a partnership between Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, College of Dental Medicine, School of Nursing, and the Mailman School of Public Health.

Participants will take Public Health coursework at Columbia University, gain hands-on field experience, attend seminars and lectures with public health leaders, and receive mentoring by faculty members. At the end of the program, all participants will have the opportunity to present their summer projects at the CDC in Atlanta.
