Are you a pre-health student who has faced barriers to accessing
medical education and want an opportunity to be mentored by a
physician in a field you are interested in? PULSE is a national
non-profit organization aimed at building mentorship
relationships between students and physicians all across the
country. We have a cohort of excited physicians looking to be
matched with students in their community!
The PULSE Program will allow you to connect with a physician in
a speciality you are interested in! After you apply, students who
are accepted into the program will be matched with a physician
and have at least three guided meetings with them over the span
of 3-4 months. If you and the mentor decide to meet more, you
can! Additionally some mentors might be interested in
conducting research with their mentee. If you are provided with
this opportunity, you can also present your research at our virtual
symposium.
If you are interested in gaining medical related experience and
learning from a doctor potentially in your community, please
apply by January 31st to be considered for a match! We look
forward to seeing your applications. Please find more
information on our website or feel free to email us any specific
questions!
