Program Details:
Duration: Year-round, with options available during both the
academic year and summer semester.
Eligibility: Applicants must be 18 years or older, currently
enrolled in college, and able to provide evidence of updated vaccinations,
including the flu vaccine. A TB test may be required based on individual
circumstances.
Academic Year Program: Runs
from August 26, 2024, to April 30, 2025, with flexibility for college
holiday breaks.
Service Commitment: Volunteers are expected to commit a
minimum of eight hours per month or 32 hours per semester (approximately two to
four hours per week).
Application Process:
Application Dates: July 8, 2024, to July 26, 2024,
at 4:00 pm. Unfortunately, we cannot extend the July 26, 2024
deadline.
Required Documentation: Applicants must submit immunization
records (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella/chickenpox, Tdap, flu shot), a
background check form, and a color copy of their photo ID to
winshipvolunteer@emoryhealthcare.org.
Interview and Orientation: All applicants must schedule and complete a volunteer interview and
attend one of two virtual new volunteer orientations on August 7, 2024, or
August 8, 2024.
