Explore one of the numerous specialties in medicine! Emory Healthcare's Division of Neuroradiology is partnering with PHA to launch a pilot observership program this fall semester! They are looking for 5 students who will shadow an Emory Neuroradiologist one morning a week for 11 weeks.
Benefits of the program:
- you do not have to find and secure a physician willing to have you shadow them; the Neuroradiology faculty will do this for you
- you will gain hours to add to your clinical experience, one of the holistic competencies medical schools look for in their strong applicants
- you will gain insight into the work of a Neuroradiologist and explore this specialty in more depth
Initial eligibility requirements:
- you must have completed at least one full semester at Emory University or Oxford
- you must have a minimum of a 2.0 cumulative GPA
- you must be in good standing with the university in terms of its Honors Code and Student Conduct Code

The deadline to apply is August 14 and the observership is set to begin the week of Sept. 18. Please note submitting an application does not guarantee that you have an observership. Candidates will be notified by email from PHA if they have been selected to participate and will receive next steps. If you have questions, please contact Naadia Bakhit, Assistant Director in the Pre-Health Advising Office, at nshafiz@emory.edu. We look forward to receiving your application!
