Enhancing Undergraduate Education and Research in Aging to Eliminate Health Disparities (ENGAGED) Summer Research Program
Our 9-week internship program from May 31 – July 28, 2023 offers research opportunities focused on Aging-Related and Health Disparities Research and Cardiovascular Sciences Research, with research topics covering areas such as:
- Physical activity, healthy eating, and chronic disease prevention
- Cardiovascular disease therapeutics
- Aging, memory, dance, and movement
- Exercise and cognition
- Intersection between healthy brain aging and Alzheimer’s Disease
- Mechanisms underlying the development and progression of diseases across the life course, including hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and kidney disease
- Osteoprotective interventions for older adults losing weight
- High-Resolution Peripheral Quantitative Computed Tomography (HR-pQCT) scanning in clinical trials
- Deep phenotyping of heart failure using CT scans (HeatShare Study)
- Investigating the role of Adcy3 in adiposity in a rat model
