The lab’s research focus is understanding the differences in neonatal coagulation through biochemical assays. This job requires the ability to engage effectively with students, faculty, staff, and patient families of diverse backgrounds.
The Research Specialist will perform a variety of specialized laboratory procedures and work closely with the members of a multidisciplinary research team focused on improving neonatal surgical outcomes. We are seeking a motivated Lead Research Specialist / Tech who has wet bench experience and an interest in learning state-of-the art biophysical engineering techniques. Applicants with an interest in clinical research will have the opportunity to experience patient-facing research, including working closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and intensivists in pediatric cardiac surgery. Experience with cell culture, microscopy, and training in engineering are a plus.
