Effective Altruism Seminar is an excellent opportunity for students interested in biology, medicine, and research who want to maximize their career’s positive impact. Most of us want to make the world a better place – whether through activism, donations, or our career – but finding the best way to do that is a difficult task. If you want to think carefully about how to have a positive impact and meet others who are doing the same, then the Effective Altruism Seminar is perfect for you!
It’s an 8-week program involving weekly readings and discussion groups on topics such as global health, mental health, pandemic preparedness, and climate change. You’ll also learn a framework for career planning to optimize your career capital and social impact. Lastly, you’ll have the opportunity to network with other EA fellows worldwide from other top universities or who are working professionals.

- Global catastrophic risks – considering nuclear risks, climate change, AI safety, and pandemic risks
