Full Time Medical Assistant

Responsibilities include assisting the doctor in obtaining patient histories as well as performing diagnostic and screening tests. One will work very closely with the doctor and will be involved in patient education. Excellent verbal, written and computer skills required.

Part Time Front Office Coordinator

We are looking for the right person to work around 24 hours per week. Must include Mondays and Wednesdays. Third day alternates.

We are looking for the right person to work around 24 hours per week.

Front Office Coordinator gathers necessary medical, demographic and insurance information in order to schedule patients in a busy clinical setting, answers telephones, maintains patient files, distributes daily correspondence, entering of superbills. Serves as liaison between patient and medical support staff. Travels to satellite offices to work front office.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year medical office experience
  • One year of customer service experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's degree or higher
  • Billing and collections experience

GAP Year Ophthalmic Assistant

Perfect position for those taking a gap year and interested in the field of medicine. Great hands on experience for a year with a local, successful, busy medical practice.

EXCELLENT opportunity for an energetic, determined individual to work in one of the most exciting fields in medicine today. Our state-of-the-art, fast paced ophthalmology practice is looking to hire an ophthalmic technician/assistant.

Medical Assisting degree and/or experience preferred. We would be willing to train the right individual.

Responsibilities include assisting the doctor in obtaining patient histories, visual acuity, visual fields, digital photography, as well as performing diagnostic and screening tests. One will work very closely with the doctor and will be involved in patient education. Excellent verbal, written and computer skills required.

Compensation: $12 + depending on certifications and experience.

*This position is for those students graduating in December 2021/May 2022 who will have diploma in hand for beginning the gap year in May 2022. This a one to two year commitment at 24-40 hours/week. Please be sure that your schedule will work with these requirements.
