The West
Coast Vascular and Interventional group is holding a symposium this
February! We would like to invite bioengineering, premedical,
and other students interested in learning about the field of Vascular and
Interventional Radiology (VIR). VIR is an exciting new specialty in
medicine that provides minimally-invasive surgical alternatives based on image
guidance. VIR procedures can address a wide array of challenges in
medicine from cancer therapy and trauma to liver dysfunction and stroke
management!
This
clinically oriented event will introduce attendees to the field of VIR /
minimally invasive surgery. The symposium will be conducted over Zoom on February
12-13, 2022. Please visit our website (wcvir.splashthat.com) to register and for
more information.
Why you
should attend: In
addition to learning about the breadth and depth of head-to-toe VIR procedures,
we will also have content on ethical considerations in IR, fascinating case
presentations, information about private practice, opportunities for
international VIR service, and a program director panel! We will also
feature a medical student case competition. We have many new
opportunities that we’re excited to introduce at this event!
