As a hospice volunteer individuals will profoundly improve the quality of our patient’s lives. Friendly visits enable families to keep their loved ones at home, around the people and things they love. Assisting with errands helps a tired family cope with their many challenges and allows them time with their loved one. Simply holding a patient’s hand can ease their mind and comfort their spirit.
There is no large time commitment, students have the
flexibility to volunteer and intern as little or as much as their schedule
allows. No Medical experience is necessary. Helping terminally ill patients
through hospice is not about dying, it is about living and ensuring that
patients receive the best care in their final seasons of life. For more
