CPHS seeks to unite the Pre-Health Community at Pitt, and serve as
a collective voice to further the combined aspirations, efforts, and objectives
of all pre-health organizations. This inspired us to organize a
Pre-Health Summit event to bring together all of the pre-health students on
campus to participate in a conference-style event that emphasizes
interprofessionalism and collaboration.
CPHS would thus like to extend an invitation to all interested
students at Emory to the Fifth Annual 2021 Pre-Health Summit, which will take
place virtually on Saturday, March 6th. Because our event will take
place virtually this year, we have extended invitations to schools across the
country. Given the reputation that Emory has for producing motivated future
healthcare providers, we believe that the Pre-Health Summit is an amazing
opportunity for networking, conferencing, and learning more about the
interconnected pre-health community. We ask that you please consider passing
the details of this event onto your students, given that many of them are
probably planning on getting involved in the Pre-Health field in the future.
This year’s Summit features Keynote Speaker Dr. Chris Murawski, a
Pittsburgh native involved in orthopedic and rehabilitation research, who was
also selected for Forbes 30 under 30 in Healthcare in 2016. He is a 3rd-year
resident at UPMC, thus he will be able to discuss what it is like working in a
hospital during a pandemic.
Along with our speaker, Summit will feature a networking fair of
30+ graduate programs from schools across the country. Each student will also
be able to select two breakout sessions to attend, featuring interview tips
with Tom McKenzie, a Rehabilitation Science Simulation, and more!
