Interested in taking a gap year? Do you want more clinical experience before applying to medical school? The Kuchnir Dermatology Bridge Year Program is an excellent clinical experience perfect for those interested in pursuing an interactive, patient-oriented gap year for 14- or 26-months before medical school matriculation! Students in the program learn about medicine by scribing for physicians, coordinating patient care, attending educational events, and receiving mentorship from practicing Dermatologists. Ashleigh, the program coordinator, will then schedule a brief phone call with you before sending your information to Dr. Kuchnir. Interviews will likely not be conducted on campus in the Spring semester as COVID-19 regulations continue. Please note that the time commitment for the program is June 2021 – July 2022 or 2023 depending on the desire to complete one or two gap years.
