2021 World Pre-Health Conference

Emory students are invited to attend the 2021 World Pre-Health Conference, which is free to attend and will be held online on March 20 through March 21, 2021. The application is now open and can be found here

This year's conference will have a variety of events, workshops, and speakers. We’re pleased to announce that our current 2021 speakers include Program Director of the Autoimmune Center of Excellence at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Director of the Harvard immunology PhD and Master in Medical Sciences programs Shiv Pillai, William J. and Charles H. Mayo Professor and Chair of Neurologic Surgery Alfredo Quinones-Hinojosa, and Chief Policy Officer and Counsel for the Black Women’s Health Imperative Tammy Boyd. Some of our events this year will include a medical case study competition and a surgical skills workshop.

In addition, attendees will be able to apply to be matched with a mentor in the medical field. When filling out the application, students can apply to the Student Mentoring Program (SMP) which will match them with physician mentors based on factors like shared interests.

I would appreciate it if you could share this invitation with students who you believe will be interested in attending. The regular application will close on January 5th. You can find the link to the application as well as more detailed information about the conference at https://www.worldprehealthconference.org/

Thank you for your help and support in our efforts to promote access to health professions experiences to pre-health undergraduates. Please feel free to contact us at harvardwpc@gmail.com with any questions that you or your students may have.
