Interested in HIV, homelessness, a low-key volunteering opportunity, or chatting with a current Emory medical student? How about all of the above? The Emory SOM is currently looking for pre-med students who would like to be paired up with a medical student to go visit with the residents of the Gift of Grace House. Gift of Grace House is a home in Virginia Highlands run by nuns which houses women who are HIV+ and otherwise would have nowhere to live.
They are looking for volunteers to spend a few hours hanging out with the residents - chatting, playing cards, and so forth. Ideally they are looking for people who could commit about 2 hours a month. If you're interested, please fill out the google form: https://forms.gle/ZuXHsaXuZd371FkBA.
