Child and Adolescent Mood Program - Research Opportunity

Emory’s Child and Adolescent Mood Program (CAMP), an interdisciplinary clinical research program directed by Dr. W. Edward Craighead, is looking for students to help with a new research project. Students’ primary responsibility will be to watch and rate videos of Cognitive Behavior Therapy for adult depression. Students will rate aspects of the interaction between patients and therapists. Some of the therapy sessions were conducted in Spanish, so we are interested in recruiting some students whose “first language” is Spanish.

Potential benefits of this position include a rare opportunity to observe psychotherapy sessions, to learn more about clinical psychology, and to gain research experience that could strengthen graduate school applications. Course credit will also be available for eligible students.

Students interested in applying for this research position must commit to working 9 hours per week for two semesters. Also, note that the location of this opportunity has not been finalized, and it is possible that it will be located in the psychology building (PAIS) on Emory’s main campus or at the CAMP clinic, which is located at Emory’s Executive Park campus, where free parking and Emory Shuttle service is available.

If you are interested in applying for a research assistant position, please complete the attached application and send it, your resume, and an unofficial transcript to Jamie Kennedy.
