Gap Year Opportunity with GPSA

The Global Public Service Academies (GPSA), founded by  Dr. Robert Malkin, professor of Biomedical Engineering and Global Health at Duke University, offers a global health, gap-year program in underserved areas.

GPSA is an educational organization that works in collaboration with local health authorities in Guatemala, Belize, West Virginia and Thailand. Their MedicalFellows program is a long-term volunteering program for recent and soon-to-be college graduates interested in healthcare.

As part of the program, fellows receive basic accommodations in a homestay plus language and healthcare training. The program gives graduates the opportunity to work alongside physicians, nurses and community health workers while experiencing the challenges and opportunities present in global settings. If you are looking to get more hands-on experience after graduating, check out the attached flyer to learn more about GPSA: https://tinyurl.com/y4h5o34c.
