Lab Assistant Gap Year Position at Stanford

The Department of Thoracic Surgery at Stanford School of Medicine is seeking applications for their Lab Assistant position. Emory Seniors and alumni who are interested in surgery and/or clinical research are encouraged to check out this post grad opportunity. This role requires a two year commitment.

The Lab Assistant position provides a combination of clinical exposure, research experience, and mentoring from thoracic surgeons and residents. The Lab Assistant works with colleagues in radiation oncology, radiogenomics, medical oncology, and interventional pulmonology to name a few. In the past people in this role have gone onto nursing, physician's assistant, and medical school. The ideal candidate must be highly independent and motivated, with the ability to balance a variety of tasks with little day to day oversight.
