Emory Dance is pleased to welcome R2ISE theatre, an Atlanta community dedicated to recovery through the arts, to campus for a live production of Chronicles of Hope. This event will highlight dance and spoken word performances by those in long term recovery and their allies. Not only does this weekend offer a chance to educate the Emory community about an ongoing public health crisis, but it will affirm the importance of the arts in humanizing struggles accompanying addiction, promoting healing, building community, and communicating across boundaries.
The performances will be held on the evenings of September 14th and 15th at Schwartz. On the morning of September 15th a workshop about increasing cultural agility in recovery methods will be held.
