Medical Spanish Summer Program at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara

Learn Spanish, gain clinical experience, and learn about a new culture, all while visiting the beautiful city of Guadalajara.   The Medical Spanish summer program at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara is an enrichment program that provides academic advancement and career knowledge for undergraduate students interested in medicine.

This four week course includes transportation to and from clinics, basic clinical experience, and a certification of completion.

Participants will:
•    Gain the ability to effectively communicate with Spanish-speaking patients

Emory School of Medicine Summer Program Chaperone

The EPiC Program at the Emory School of Medicine is in need of 1 student chaperone/near peer advisor to work with their EPiC students from May 28-June 15. The selected person will receive parking, meals and a $750 stipend at the conclusion of the program. Work time is variable but is mostly 8:00-5:00 Tuesday May 28 - June 15. General responsibilities include college and museum tours with high school students and assisting high school students in developing their college application and scholarship materials.

Summer Pre-Med Courses - University of Colorado School of Medicine

Join the University of Colorado School of Medicine for one of their Colorado Pre-Med summer courses from May 21- June 1, 2019, June 1-12, 2019, or August 5-16, 2019! 

Spend two weeks getting a hands on look into the fields of emergency and wilderness medicine. Experience medical school labs, ED shadowing, backpacking, kayaking, and rock climbing. Learn about the medical school admissions process. Experience medial labs of ultrasound, suture, and cardiac dissection. 

All classes are taught by University of Colorado Medical School faculty and physicians. You will have the chance to earn your Wilderness First Responder and CPR certificate. Three hours of academic credit is available for this course.
